This is a handy item to have around for a home bar. I like that you get the three different trays, but they all fold nicely into one, relatively small unit. It doesn’t come with any instructions, but it is pretty easy to figure out. Once you remember how to open all of the trays it is easy to use. You want to slide open the lid part, but then you need to pick it up so you can pull the other trays out. You have to be able to get underneath it to pull the trays out. Everything is attached in the center, but you can arrange it so that you can access all trays at once. Each unit comes with 2 sponges, but you only need to use one at a time. It seems to hold the lime juice well and coats the rim of the glass nicely. I like that all of the trays easily fit even my wider margarita glasses. Cleaning it isn’t too bad, but it is all one piece so you will need to be gentle with it as you move from one tray to the next. There is a piece on the bottom of one of mine that fell off, which made me think I could take it apart if I wanted to, but that seems like unnecessary trouble. I was able to snap that piece back in place to hold it all together. This has made adding a rimmer to my cocktails easier and I am glad to have it around.

Used it at a bartending gig this weekend.Pre-filled it with sugar and salt before travelling by car, box it was in never tipped, but there was salt in the bottom of the box, some, not too much. Did not seem to contaminate between salt and sugar, but was sad to see.Pulled out 1 foam layer, leaving the 2nd, it did a great job with 1 lime coating the rim and adhering salt, and the foam seemed to rinse fine at the end of the night.I was able to pick up a set of replacement foams to have in my kit. I’m not expecting to NEED them anytime soon, the foam was nice and tight in quality. Spongy, but when compressed and rinsed seemed to release nicely.I kept having problems remembering how to open/slide the tiers apart when I was running through the night, but my wife didn’t have that problem, so, I guess usage depends with mixed (pun intended, always intend your puns) results.Solid buy since you get two, we’ll be doing one savory and one sweet in the future.
