Seems to be removing hair as advertised
A little difficult to get the initial setting (skin color) set, and pauses operation sometimes (unknown reason). But does seem to be removing hair as advertised.

This turns on. That’s about it. It literally doesn’t nothing. Not sure if I got a dud. Messed with it for 30 minutes. Read the instructions and watched a video and followed the instructions to a T.

Well…
I waited a long time to write this review, because it has so many negative ones, I wanted to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. I’m a 44 year old transwoman, and I have hair everywhere that comes in so coarse, it hurts my skin. I have tried everything I can afford to get rid of it, and nothing works. I can’t afford medspa laser sessions, so that’s all I can do. I have had 2 different IPLs before this one. Neither of them did anything at all. I mean, they would flash, and it would sting a tiny bit, but no hair removal. I got really down about it, as I only have about 4 hours after shaving, that it’s pretty much through my makeup, pantyhose, etc… I got this machine through a deal at my partner’s job. She cashed in some reward points for it. My expectations were not high, but the price was right.Initially, I struggled to make it work at all, and at lower levels, it didn’t do much. More than the other ones, but still, not effective at all. THEN… I learned how to bypass the safety features, and run it at level 5 at all times. If you set it to 5, and point the laser off into space for 3 full seconds, then put it on your skin, the first place you put it will fire at 5. If you glide across the skin, without picking it up, it’ll keep firing at 5. So, once you reach the end of an area, and you have to pick it up, point it off into space for 3 full seconds again. Blammo! Back to 5!Soooo… Now, I have no hair on my arms, chest, or abdomen, for the first time in my life, and it’s working on my legs, neck, and face, too. I am THRILLED. I’ll spare you the high drama, but it’s… A huge deal. My face/neck is a bit slow going, but it IS working. There are many bare patches. The other machines I have used were much more costly. I absolutely did not expect this hundred dollar IPL to finally be the one. If it’s all you can afford, stick with it, and be patient. It has been a total boon to my overall happiness, and I’m very confident it will actually get me where I want to be. If it dies, I will get another one. The hard part is getting a feel for it. 1.) point off into space. 2.) glide.Totally wonderful feeling, and totally worth it.

Not user friendly at all
It has a safety feature that “senses” skin contact before you can use it and that sensor is terrible. You have to hold it just right or you can’t use it. Bought this as an “upgrade” to a cheapy one I bought last summer that I accidentally dropped and broke. I got rid of the box so can’t return. Miss my cheapy one that worked way better for much less $

Works
You 100% have to keep up with this and use it more than 3 times. This along with any IPL machine you get at home is not going to blast off the hair! Any IPL at home machine is going to gradually thin out and decrease the amount that grows… definitely not instant. I don’t ever use the skin sensor it had and after a while, you get used to the sting. It is like a hot rubberband slapping your skin for .001 seconds only if you keep it above level 3 and use it on sensitive areas.

The BEST
Tardé 2 años para volver a conseguirla. Con solo 3 sesiones ya vez la diferencia. En mi caso en la tercera sesión en las axilas apenas me salÃa vello. La mejor inversión
