    Thank you
Self help without preaching or being a bully.Using her life stories, helps me relate and makes it easier for me to “fix” me. No crazy medical jargon, just life on life terms.

    Very emotionally uplifting book!
I am going through what some may call a midlife crisis where I’m just not feeling good about my life and especially my body. After researching devotional books for black women, this one really spoke to my spirit! I am so glad that I chose this book because it really uplifted me at a time that I really needed it! I really encourage any woman, regardless of their race or age to get this book!

    Motivational & Inspiring
The 90 day program is suited well for my busy lifestyle. Although I haven’t finished the full 90 days yet, each day I took a sampling of the writings and applied it in one way or another to my daily goals. This helped me stay motivated and looking forward to the next day.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    Powerful and creative
Magoro who has gone through many struggles in her life wrote a powerful, creative book for self-care. The 90-day program is perfect for my busy schedule. It is inspiring and well researched and perfect for any Black women who cooks and cares for her family. I highly recommend this for other women in my life.

    Great Emotional Tool Kit
I found this to be a solid, self-care manual with a built in 90 day program that is a keeper. It is for every person, not just as emotional self-care for Black women. The set up is well done: each part of the chapter has a summary of key points immediately after the main description, so that you do not lose flow or concentration. Each part is in small bits, rather than long chapters, which contributes to the feeling of being able to take one’s time in digesting the material. It covers all the highlights without embarrassment or excuses: depression, anxiety, body image (positivity), failure, managing guilt and anger, loneliness, and resentment. These are all areas common to the human condition, yet so rarely discussed.I was so excited that I have read this twice, and listened to a portion of the Audible, as I enjoy taking in the suggestions while walking or driving. After listening for a bit, the content in both formats is good; however, the voice on the Audible version appears does not work as well as the digital content for my needs as a reader.I highly recommend this book for anyone who is in need of good self-care starting with the inside out, and especially for all Black women.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
