Deep and beautiful
This book was a complete surprise in that the storytelling is superb while teaching you deep truths. I love how the author combined real life stories to convey the deeper message of learning to love ourselves better Godâs way and experience breakthrough with past experiences. Laura L. Smith is relatable.

How do our mental, spiritual, emotional, social and physical dimensions tie together?
Holy Care for The Whole Self is insightful, sensitive and scriptural. Many books on self-care/mental health or a Biblical approach are just that: either/or. Laura Smith weaves them together as they truly are, because we are created in God’s image as whole beings. Every dimension of what makes us human matters . She gives many illustrations from scripture, interviews and experiences of her own. Her writing style will draw you in!

Compassionate and Insightful

Vulnerable and necessary
This book is vulnerable and necessary. At one point the author asks about two women struggling with their mental health, “Did anyone tell them Christ was with them in their suffering?” This book does just that. It holds the readers hand and shows them God’s love and peace as they care for their whole self.
