   Relief for sore feet
   This is a great massager…PROs:The rolling balls help relieve pain and stress on feetThere’s a heat feature that can be use while the massage balls are moving.The switches can be control by your toes. you dont have to bend down to turn it off or switch between settingsPrice is reasonable.CONs:A bit noisy but its worth it.

   Simple and effective
   We had the older version of this product for 10 years! (and it still works) We bought another one since its in such high use in the family and its been great. The first one faded on the metal balls and exposed the brass color underneath which I imagine will happen over time with this new one as well unless the balls are no longer coated with anything? (I will update if that does happen)You have to wear socks with this product – its the only comfortable way to use it, it also has a heat option which is nice. We have tried more expensive products that fit the whole foot in and inflate from all sides and just didn’t like it as much as this simple product. Its a plug and play item, easy to relocate around the room if needed and great for sore feet.And also clearly lasts a long time since our 10 year old version is still going strong!

   Overheats somewhat quickly, but overall very nice
   If you use this for more than 15-20 minutes at a time, the device may overheat, shut itself off, and not be able to be turned on again for hours afterwards. Outside of that, it’s a lovely product, feels great and is very relaxing.A bit loud as well, but you get what you pay for in that regard; if you want or need something quiet, go to the next price tier up from this

   QUIT AT 2 DAYS-THEN STARTED WORKING AGAIN SO KEEPING IT
   UPDATE: The Shiatsu foot massager started working again, so I am keeping it because it does a great job hitting all of the reflex points when it works. I saw another review that mentioned overheating and shutting off automatically, so I guess that is what happened.The Shiatsu foot massager is great when it works, but mine stopped working at day 2 of use, just like the last one I owned. The lights are on so power is getting to the unit. The rotating massage balls just freeze, never to work again. What a bummer! Find a different product. This is twice with the same problem on this product. There is definitely an engineering or part design flaw. I tried twice because it really is great when it works, but I think I am done with this. You will be delighted for two days if you buy one.

   Good But Could Be Great
   Revisions I’d like to see: 1. Should be twice as big. i.e., Should have four rotors not two. I don’t have really large feet but this device leaves you dangling which cause stress trying to keep your feet on it. another option would be making the rear edge straight instead of curved. Doing this gives the option of buying another unit and placing them back-to-back. 2. The heater doesn’t get warm enough, tepid at best. 3. Could be sturdier. made lots of creaking noises which doesn’t promote confidence. Finish: The rotors are effective in providing relief to sore feet. Just saying this unit could be a lot better.

   Defective products and not so good customer service.
   My wife and I enjoyed the massaging action of the Shiatsu Deluxe Foot Massager, but after a short period of time, the plating on the plastic massager balls was wearing off and turning our feet and socks black. See photo.Upon contacting Homedics customer service, they verified our purchase and sent us a new unit. They instructed us to throw the old unit away. The new unit had exactly the same issue, so I contacted them yet again. Again they verified our purchase and had us send the second unit to their technical department for evaluation. After they received the second unit, they sent us a third unit which did exactly the same thing. I have contacted their customer service twice via their website and they are now ignoring my correspondence. We are now stuck with an unacceptable massager because our return window has closed. This latest snub from Homedics does not speak well for the company and we will not be purchasing or recommending any of their products.

   Love love LOVE!!
   I bought the same item about 20 years ago at either CVS or Walgreens and have used the crap out of it!! It was only like $25 then and my feet loved that thing. After so many years, it still worked but was struggling and when I saw this I had to get it. The base is different but the rest is exactly the same.It’s wonderful for after work with a cup of tea.Highly recommend!
