   My favorite go to tools!
   This is my 2nd tool set in almost 8 yrs. I loved the first one so much I had to have another. The wine bottle opener from my first set finally gave up on me and cracked in half. But it always did it’s job. Everyone that saw me using the tools thought they were great. The tools are easy to use and never gave me any trouble. I like this set because it comes with a sealer. My other set didn’t have that. The pourer with stopper I use all the time as well. It pours nice so you don’t have wine splashing out too fast. For the price, you can’t go wrong. With proper care, they’ll last you a long time.

   Good for travel or something like camping. Not an everyday home set. The case won’t close because the cover for the knife makes the set too high.

   Blurb says 18/8 stainless steel but feels like plastic
   I love Houdini by Rabbit bar tools…but not these. Pluses: they come in a lovely box and are very attractive to look at. Seriously, these are gorgeous when you open the box.The cons: although the description says that they’re “18/8 stainless steel” (which I looked up) they feel very much like plastic. I’m replacing a version of the same wine opener that I’ve used for years (and years, and years) but I suspect that this one will not make it more than a few months. The one that just broke after opening lots of bottles felt far sturdier than the one included in this set. It pains me to say that about a brand that I trust and tools that are so pretty/shiny. The stopper is unusual in that it has a removable piece of rubber that really does work as a seal effectively. The sparkling wine stopper is not totally effective, though.I’ll be using them a lot over the summer and will revise this review to bump up the stars if they prove to handle the challenge of heavy use.

   Not happy at all
   Not happy at all, it came smashed and I was on my way out of town so couldn’t return it before I left. It was supposed to be a gift, I had to go buy something else. Also it was plastic and flimsy I expected a metal one like I had before.

   mostly plastic not steel, works well
   We’ve got a number of houdini bar tools / accessories and while this set works ok, we’re really disappointed by the cheap materials (which was surprising given the high quality of our other Houdini tools). All of these pieces are made of chromed plastic, including the actual cork screw which is some sort of composite. When using the cork screw, the part that spins grinds against the second piece, which has already worn off the chrome coating.The tools themselves work fine. The foil cutter removes foil quickly, and the pourer with stopper pours well and seals a bottle of wine for storage. The champagne stopper works very well and completely sealed a bottle of champagne with zero leakage. The cork screw makes it easy to get a cork out without fighting it, and removing the cork from the puller afterwards is straightforward as well.Overall everything works fine, but the cheap plastic is just disappointing as the pieces don’t feel like premium accessories. Given some of the wear on the cork screw already, we’re not sure this set will last as long as our other tools.

   Functional for as long as it lasts.
   Very flimsy plastic. It’ll work as long as it doesn’t break… It doesn’t seem like that will be a lengthy wait.
