Great footrest, very comfortable
I like it. I am so much more comfortable sitting at my desk now. The footrest is weighty, and its made of heavy duty plastic with a firm memory foam top. For some reason, the memory foam top is removable. Not sure why that is since you can’t buy a replacement, not that you would ever need to anyways, it seems very durable. The footrest is fully adjustable, but the mechanisms could be updated. This particular footrest has been made by Kensington for a many, many years. I understand the idea of not fixing something if it works, but these mechanisms can definitely be improved. The tilt mechanism is easy, but the height adjustment takes a little patience..its very unintuitive, but it works. What I like most? As thin as it is, I really like the memory foam under my feet, its the right amount of cushion. And I like the size of this footrest. Its big enough that I can fidget a bit and my feet are still on it. As for price, it seems a bit expensive for what it is, but its being shipped for free, so maybe the price is ok. If you can catch it on sale, 20-25 percent off, its a better buy. Utimately, this footrest is the perfect solution for me, a huge relief to my discomfort when sitting at my desk..

Bought another one for home office
This was the first footrest I’ve used, bought after some research on Amazon. I liked it enough after using it at work the first day that I bought another for home. As is standard practice now, there were no written instructions in the box, in English or any other written language. Instead we get four glossy pages of color pictographs. There was no actual assembly, just adjusting the footrest’s height and pitch. A few people commented on trouble with the height adjustment, which uses a bolt with a plastic knob. I attached some pictures to show where the square nut is hidden under the footrest. The nut needs to be held captive in a plastic slot, so that when each knob is turned clockwise the bolt and screw tighten and hold at the selected height. If the plastic knob turns freely, the nut may have come out of the channel, or even come off the bolt entirely. This really isn’t complicated once you see it. Kensington could have designed this better, or at least explained it more than just a drawing of turning the knob. If you need to adjust the footrest height again, just avoid over-loosening the knob and it shouldn’t be a problem.Except for the metal bolt & screw, the soft pad on top, and four rubber-like non-skid pads on the bottom, the footrest looks to be entirely made of extruded plastic. It looks like it should hold up just fine for a single user in a home or office environment, performing its intended function. The soft top is very comfortable, especially without shoes. I wouldn’t recommend anyone put much weight on it (don’t ever use this as a stool or step), or use it with wet/dirty shoes, cleats, etc. I accidentally noticed that the soft pad on top will come off easily (I bought slightly used model). It easily pops back on, and presses back in place. The underside of the soft pad has a rubber-like feel. I can’t say for sure how it would hold up, but if the pad ever got dirty with mud or something, I’d try taking the top pad off and washing it in the kitchen sink with warm water and dish detergent, then letting it air dry. I don’t have much need to adjust the tilt during use, but I find it easy to do and don’t accidently hit the lever. The unit stays in place on low carpet and wood floor.Overall, I’m very happy with it. I wouldn’t call it a great buy considering the plastic construction, but I didn’t see anything at this price that is as functional, adjustable and better quality materiel. There are some footrests listed here with wood and/or metal construction that are either much more expensive or not as adjustable.

Works great with my recliner
This footrest is the answer to my problems. Unlike many users, I use it at home, not in the office. I have a comfortable rocker-recliner with a swivel base, but my feet don’t rest flat on the floor. Sitting for hours would make my legs sore. I used boards, the bottom rung of a stool, slippers with thick soles, and I was considering buying another chair. I found this product and now I can sit up comfortably when I’m not reclining. It’s adjustable — you turn it over, loosen the screw handles on both sides, and insert both hands between the base and footrest and press upward gently. Color codes on the sides help you raise it evenly. I keep it on the bottom setting because the footrest sits firmly on the base. I like that you can adjust the tilt using your feet. The unit is plastic but seems sturdy. Use it the way it’s intended — I would never stand, kneel or sit on it. The cat seems to like it, though. It’s costly compared to other footrests, but its adjustability makes it worth the extra cost.

Useful
Ended up getting this because my posture always felt off near my feet. Definitely noticed a difference in comfort and won’t be going back.

Seriously, if you have shorter legs like me, or have the tendency to slouch or cross legs, just get this footrest!I love the following features:-memory foam (in contrast to the hard texture of other solid footrests)-solid/supportive base (in contrast to cushion footrests)-adjustable height*-adjustable AND lockable angle-nonskid base*Lookup the instructions on youtubeContrary to some of the negative reviews, mine came in brand new condition and I’m so glad I’d ordered. I had not realized just how uncomfortably I’d been sitting in my chair till I had proper footrest and support. It’s also not too big or heavy. Previously I had a cushion footrest, which in retrospect did absolutely nothing. For the first time in my life, I could sit properly thanks to this footrest.
More than pleased with this footrest solid and comfy for the feet.

If you work long hours at your desk then this is a must have. This works great and with the soft memory foam, it doesn’t hurt your feet after hours of using it. I have tried the pure memory foam foot rest but that didnt help. This product is sturdy and have multiple function to adjust to suit the way you sit.Dont cheap out on a foot rest. This is pricy but its worth it.
