   Seems to work, a little
   I can’t fully figure out if this thing is effective. I have light skin and dark hair and should be an ideal candidate. It is my belief that after a few weeks the hair has thinned a bit.Please be super careful around lasers. If the light were to accidentally reflect into your eyes, it would result in a condition called a “flash burn” which is common among welders and laser operators.

   Best on dark hair
   This light works well but it is best for people with dark hair. You should not have any sun exposure prior. Make sure to read the instructions. Easy to use

   Lower power and not as comfortable to hold
   An average IPL device in a sea of devices available on Amazon. This IPL seems like it is mid quality. Most IPLs function the same. This device has a cooling feature that may or may not be helpful to most users. The LCD screen shows useful information. The wattage isn’t very strong, and there’s no focusing lens.This IPL has a slight sting. It’s not painful, and in my case, the ICE feature did seem to help a little. The device was a little awkward to maneuver due it’s size. I think people with small hands may find it more difficult to use.A proper evaluation can only be done over time. IPLs like this do not work instantly.

   Read the instructions
   This IPL laser hair removal device comes nicely packaged with a detailed instruction booklet. It works best for people with light skin and dark hair. There are a bunch of medical conditions with which one should not use the device, and several body areas to avoid, so it’s best to read the manual before using it. Also, wearing eye protection is important when using the device.Note that the instruction manual and advertising show different information for course of treatment. The manual says to use it every two weeks, while the advertising images say 3 times per week for fastest results.This is my first experience with this kind of device. I’ve had professional laser hair removal years ago, which was uncomfortable. The instruction manual says it should never be painful and to reduce the light setting if you feel discomfort.So far this has been a good experience. I will update if that changes.

   Decent IPL device
   We have tried a couple different IPL devices that are offered on Amazon and elsewhere, and this seems to fall in the mid-tier range, lacking some features of higher end devices and offering more than lower end devices.The device itself seems to be fairly well made and easy enough to use. It is larger than our other devices but fits in MY hand just fine. My wife has smaller hands and she says it’s still comfortable but feels bulky. The cooling when running is noticeable and does help with the sting. It’s not painless, but it’s not painFUL. It’s just sort of an annoying feeling.The instruction manual is OK, but does have some grammatical errors/translation issues. It does provide settings based on skin tone, area you wish to remove the hair from, and treatment number. Time will tell if it actually works but it seems promising.
