   Hair Reduction For Dark Hair
   When I saw this item, I ordered. The unit is devised to interfere with hair production to reduce and eliminate hair growth in treated areas after a period of about four weeks time. The unit arrived sealed and in its signature box containing the unit, power cord, razor and 2 refills, sunglasses, warranty card, and instruction use manual (very tiny print). The unit is palm size and seems well made.The speed is set to manual but can be changed to automatic depending on where hair removal takes place. The degree of flashes depends on which setting I’m tolerant. Treatment should be done weekly according to the manual for 12 weeks and then once a month for maintenance.When the unit is plugged in, it flashes green and then this button is used to change intensity levels which is indicated by the blue lights on the opposite side. The unit operates in the plugged state, since the cord is not that long, I had to be near an outlet.When I first saw this item and looked at the coloring chart, I thought I was good. However, the facial hair I wanted to target is more peach fuzz which is blond in nature so this will not work for that…bummer.The only other area that I will do is my upper lip where I get a few stray dark hairs from time to time; so, for this area, I will keep in the manual mode since the auto is for larger areas. It is hard to see very well what I’m doing once I put the sunglasses on since they’re so dark. However, the glasses are definitely needed during flash sequence but when looking at the controls, I pulled them down to view my lights and settings; the flash button is very large, so it can be easily done in the dark. The unit has skin sensing red indicator light for contact before flash laser can occur.At this point, I’m staying at the lowest setting since my facial skin is sensitive but may increase the intensity as I grow more tolerant. I could definitely feel it at the lowest setting…so, I’m good for now (yes, I’m a wimp).There is a one year warranty and is FDA approved.
