Wonderful interactive advent devotional for the familu
We have done this 3 years now and my 6 year old is so excited to put the ornament on the tree every day. We love how it show Christ throughout all of scripture. A family favorite tradition.

EXACTLY what was a looking for as an Advent Family Tradition!
This is an amazing book! It’s very big and opens up to show all the compartments, each numbered 1 – 25. The little book has its own compartment and the tree folds well when you close the book, but as a precaution I’d close it slowly so as not to get any branches stuck. The accompanying book was excellent, explaining the story of Christ from the beginning of the Bible to emphasize why we need him. It was easy for our kids to read, made the stories easy to understand and ended with a sweet prayer after each day.The ornaments you hang on the tree each day are beautiful and everything is well-made. I was afraid of not knowing where each ornament was supposed to go when we put the tree away, but they are all numbered so you know exactly which compartment they belong in!Our kids (aged 7, 6 and 5) really enjoyed it! We did each reading at bedtime and they would often remind us! I look forward to doing this each year with our children. It’s such a great way to keep the focus on Jesus at Christmas in the midst of the holiday craziness. I highly recommend this book!!

Perfect for the target audience! Truly lovely!
Beautiful artwork! There are sweet stories of the main characters in Scripture through whom the Lord revealed Himself and who responded to His call. I don’t mind the author’s artistic touch of seeing God as weeping for those He must judge in the flood. It is written for little children and they love it and see the heart of God precisely because of how it is written. Nothing is taken away or lost because of the expressive heart and perspective of the author. Her work is beautiful and not unBiblical in any way. She sees the heart of the Father and the heart of Christ. The kids LOVE putting each ornament on the lovely tree and they are hearing how God reaches out to us with His great love. It is wonderful for children under the age of 10. Children will hear more of the depth and other aspects of those stories as they grow. The joy and tenderness of how the stories are told are perfect for the target audience. We can hit the hearts of our children too hard sometimes with the stories and this book touches them with the beauty of how God reaches out to us and is at work through all of history. We have LOVED it this year! Thank you, Ann, for all the work you put into the book! God bless your family and your ministry! (We have seven children ranging in age from 3 to 16 and all of us have been blessed by it.)

Such a great advent!
Loooove this! The devotional is fantastic and is actually a lot better than some other adult ones I’ve gone through! It explains themes well and even goes through some of Jesus’ lineage. So so cool! My 4, 5, 7 year olds understood all of it. And the devotions are short enough to hold their attention and to leave the 7 year olds wanting more information. We did have to be careful with the ornaments since we had to fold the tree up and put ornaments away after the read the devotion. (I have a 1 year old destroyer who can’t be trusted with anything.) But I can totally see this lasting us multiple years until my kids have outgrown it. The illustrations are gorgeous. The tree and ornaments are thick cardstock and don’t tear easily.

Kids love it!
I bought several of these for families I love. The kids all loved them! They would get so excited about reading together and putting the ornament on each day. The parents said the tree was so lovely and they enjoyed this way of sharing Jesus with their children during advent.

Livro belÃssimo ! Primeiro advento que faço com meus filhos .. tornou-se uma experiência inesquecÃvel .. ficavam ansiosos pela leitura da história e para abrirem e pendurarem o enfeite na árvore . AltÃssima qualidade !

I am quite happy I got this. I brought this to start a tradition with my 2year and really get them stuck into the real reason of Christmas. I was worried that this would be too much for a 2 year old but by day 5 my 2 year old understood it was something we did daily and my little one really started to enjoy it and know to take out the book, sit, listen, then hang. I do have to adjust the story slightly, to make it simpler I.e. avoid the questions. I also added my own actions to help my little one partipate and enjoy the story. Its worth starting early, you never know what they take from it. But at the least you will have started a Christmas routine/ tradition that will eventually be great for your child and help learn about Christ as our Christmas gift and His love for us.

Our family has been enjoying the daily readings, and opening each advent box and hanging the little ornament cards on the popup tree. The little reading book has beautifully coloured illustrations and heart warming bible stories for the whole family, beginning with Genesis. If you’re familiar with Ann Voskamp’s other books you’ll recognize her writing style. We look forward to reading this every year to welcome Christmas.

If you are 100 years old youâll love this. If youâre a baby or anywhere in between you will love it. It is a beautiful way to add to your advent traditions. Or, start one, with this amazing creation. Ann Voskamp, thank you again.

I use this book daily for Advent as a companion to “Unwrapping the greatest gift” by the same author. They help me to focus on the amazing fact that Jesus, the creator of the Universe decided to be born as a vulnerable baby because of his love for each one of us humans.

Beautiful
Based on her bestseller Unwrapping the Greatest Gift, Ann Voskamp expands her presentation of the timeless Advent tradition of the Jesse Tree with this beautiful keepsake book that can be handed down and enjoyed for generations. Each December, families can celebrate the coming of Jesus by opening the book to see a stunning 13-inch, three-dimensional Jesse Tree pop up from the page. At its foot are 25 doors, one for each day of Advent, which hide meaningful, beautifully detailed ornaments–including the Christmas star–that are ready to be hung on the tree. Also inside is a simple devotional book with a reading for each ornament. Create precious holiday memories with The Jesse Tree Pop-Up Book and recapture the sacredness of the Advent season as you celebrate the epic pageantry of the coming of the Messiah.â©Last year I really wanted to get her book: Unwrapping the Greatest Gift but just couldn’t get the ornaments and tree in time. This year I saw this book coming out and I knew this would be perfect for us and it was. My son who is over a year and a half looked forward to it everyday. When papi didn’t make it home for lunch we would wait until dinner to read it but that meant all through lunch he would point at the book sitting on the table.â©I felt the writing in this one was perfect for him. It was short enough for our family and had a little prayer at the end.â©My only downfall of this was one of the ornaments fell off the tree and the puppy chewed off a corner. I’m hoping at some point she will sell replacement ornaments.â©I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars
