   Works on sun damaged and aging skin, especially together with derma roller
   (update Sept 2015: continue to use this and have tried competitor products, it works and I am quite old! but skin looking good!)Reputable dermatologists say there are only a few active ingredients out there that are proven to do anything beneficial for the skin besides moisturize it (which Crisco or vaseline could do too!) , no matter what hype the cosmetic companies put out. One of those is vitamin C.(Caution: don’t use a Vit C product at the same time as Retinols (Retin A or OTC Retinol products like Roc etc), or Glycolic acids, or beta acids (salicylic etc). Use the Vit C in the a.m. and the others in the PM, sometimes even that will be too irritating for some skins. At the least put a few hours between applications of acidic products!).I heard about this product first on a skin care forum I belong to, as I am a sort of hobby aesthetician and makeup artist and always looking for something to help my own aging skin. I use a derma roller (many brands and most are about the same, needle size is the key difference), and this product used in concert with it really has helped stimulate collagen (the disappearance which is what causes skin to look ‘aged’ , when the padding beneath the surface begins to degrade and so the skin hangs like an empty balloon).I have been using it off and on for several months, and also got some for sisters and friends. In everyone’s case I have seen an improvement in skin tone, and definitely a subtle ‘plumping’ effect. It’s not a miraculous overnight remedy, (nothing like that exists in a bottle!), but it does help over time, and you’ll see some difference within a couple weeks.Also important is that the manufacturer is using a DARK glass bottle. First because Vitamin C breaks down with exposure to light, and also because if it were plastic container, the acidity would cause some leaching of plastic byproducts into the gel.The viscous feeling of this product is due to the hyaluronic acid in it. Hyaluronic acid is the same substance (but in sterile form and at a different molecular density), that is in fillers like restylane, and that also occurs naturally in the human body. It can’t really penetrate below the dermis, but with the derma rolling process, I believe a little of it can make its way in, and that it aids in plumping effect.A great value and reputable supplier. The reality is these active ingredients wholesale at a minimal cost, and the big brand names are marking them up by ridiculous amounts and creating elaborate marketing campaigns and photoshopped images of 22 year old models, and many consumers fall for the hype and believe the cost is justified; and while this product isn’t ‘cheap’, it is moderately priced compared to department store brands, and it lasts a good while as you only need a few drops each time.I also have recommended for those starting a skin improvement regimen to take a few good before and after pictures (spaced a few months apart at least, then periodically) or have a friend do so. Then you can apply ‘high def’ photographic effects to the before and afters shots, which will reveal the damaged skin that the naked eye can’t detect, and subsequent improvement (or lack thereof!), in great (often disturbing! detail).(There are free programs online that can do this(ipiccy is one), or if you use photoshop etc, that allow you to increase detail in your skin – usually called something like ‘high def’, ‘gritty’ etc). Department store makeup counters used to have these boxes with special lights and mirror that you’d put your face in and would reveal the sun damage that is not apparent to the naked eye – using as a selling tool– this HDR effect does the same basic thing – reveal what the naked eye can’t see but which IS there!The proof was there for me that my skin was looking better, less damaged.    Unbelievable Results
   I’m a skincare nut (combination skin), and have always taken very good care of my skin since my late teens/ early 20’s. Now that I’m older in my 30’s, my main concerns are fine lines, forehead lines, pore size, and moisturizing without breakouts. Obviously, I’m aware of the SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic, but in this economy?? No way I can spend almost $200 on that little bottle. So I’ve been on the hunt for Vitamin C alternatives. I stumbled upon this one, and the reviews were great. Since I was running a little low on the one I had been using and wasn’t crazy about it, I decided to grab Timeless without any of my usual research. I was BLOWN away. When I tell you the results were almost immediate, I’m not kidding. Whenever I try a new skincare product, I get impatient and need to know how well it works and how fast. So I typically go outside of my usual routine, put the product on by itself morning and night, and observe results after about a week or so.I put it on the day I received it in the evening, and woke up to poreless and glowing skin like I was a teenager. Fine lines were reduced, and even my deep forehead lines have diminished after about a week- and I’ve been working on those for awhile. I had finally just accepted the only route left was either lasers or botox (neither of which I wanted to do)… until this. I honestly don’t know if I should continue my retinal in the evening at this point because it just works that well. If you’re the type of person that wants immediate results and can’t wait 12 weeks for your product to start working, this is what you want. Now, could it be the hyaluronic acid in it that’s causing the quick results? Maybe, but I’ve used plenty of products with Hyaluronic acid in it, and my skin has never looked like this. I don’t even use makeup primer anymore. And those pesky little dark scars from the zits I got after eating too much ice cream are disappearing more and more every day. The consistency is very loose like a thin oil, and has a weird smell from the chemicals that goes away after it fully absorbs. Some people say it smells like hotdog water, but I guess for lack of a better description it’s kind of like that.I really can’t imagine SC working any better than this, but for the price? I’ll take my chances with Timeless!!

   Effective product, but it’s strong for sensitive skin and has a funny smell
   I wanted to find the most evidence-based vitamin c serum without spending a ridiculous amount of money for a serum for a company called shmin shmeuticals… This was highly recommended and I’m glad I purchased it because it’s affordable and I can really tell it works. My skin tone has totally evened out. I used to have acne scars on my neck, and since using this, the scars are barely detectable. Plus, I just have good skin days…all the time? I always look refreshed now that I use this. It’s awesome.But, as for cons. It took my skin about a week to get accustomed to the 20% vitamin c. I know there’s a lower percentage option, and I think I should’ve opted for that one, because this one caused a lot of redness when I used it during the first week. However, my skin got used to it. If your skin is more sensitive than mine, opt for the lower percentage. Plus, this serum has a funny smell. I can deal with it and luckily, the smell doesn’t linger, but I do find it unpleasant, so keep that in mind.

   Great product
   After having two kids in two years and taking no care for myself I decided that I was going to change that. I of course suffered from some melasma or skin darkening from my lovely pregnancies and sun in general so i needed products that were great for aging and skin lightening. I did tons of research and attempted to find the best products that were effective but also would not break the bank. I came upon this company and fell in love with their quality and price point. After only using this product for a few short weeks I was amazed the progress my skin had made for not being as prescription skin product. I will continue to use this product and cant recommend it enough even if you also have a script.

   This is my third bottle of Timeless Vitamin C & Ferulic Acid serum. It is non-greasy and does not leave a sticky residue. While it does have a different scent, I find it reminiscent of a pharmaceutical product rather than anything unpleasant. The smell dissipates shortly after application.I love the packaging, especially the dispenser pump. My dermatologist highly recommends this vitamin C serum.As with any serum, it’s difficult to see significant changes overnight, but with long-term use, I have noticed that my skin appears brighter and more plump. I haven’t experienced any adverse reactions while using this Vitamin C serum. It’s a great addition to both your morning and night skincare routines and works especially well in the morning when paired with SPF. Enjoy!

   Utilizo varios productos para mi rostro, la mayoría de marcas dermatolígicas y puedo decir (después de utilizar este 1mes) que es de los poquísimos productos que he usado y que veo resultdos visíbles rápidamente. Mi rostro se siente terso y luminoso. El producto es muy líquido, asi que debes tener cuidado cuando lo apliques, tiene un olor ligero a algún químico/medicamento, se sabsorve muy rápidamente. Pero no lo puedo utilizar en la noche y en el día porque me reseca un poco la piel (tengo piel mixta), lo utilizo solo de noche y luego pongo mi crema hidrantante nocturna. Sin duda lo recomiendo y lo volveré a comprar.

   The product came oxidised, it is supposed to be a clear / pale white liquid however the item received was an orange – brown colour liquid, meaning the formula was no more stable to be used. An absolute waste as I couldn’t even test the product. In cases of products like these which are highly active / potent, the least that the seller could do is make sure they are sending a relative fresh item to the customers. The longer the formula is left unopened, the more it is oxidised (which has happened in this case) and it is unacceptable that sellers are sending an unusable / defective item to the customers. Unfortunately when I opened the product, The return window was closed and I was unable to raise a return and refund request. Such a disappointment.
