Great little tool for the price
I used to use a Dremel tool all the time when I was a kid 25-30 years ago And they always cost a fortune back then. I really liked the fact that this came with the flex shaft attachment, and the variety of accessories that came with the tool for the price. I very much like that youâre able to adjust the speed of the motor. I cannot speak to its durability yet as Iâve only used it on a couple of projects, but it has worked very well. The flex shaft makes it very versatile for multiple different jobs. I personally got it for cleaning metal in a hard to reach spot under the hood of my car. Itâs accorded Dremel so you donât have to worry about the battery going dead. The only thing I noticed was the motor labored a little bit if you bent the flex shaft too far. Seems durable enough, and I especially liked the fact that it came with the part number and instructions for replacing the brushes in the motor.

A real bargain
Good grief! How can this be any good at a price of 25$ ???Amazingly, it is – quite good indeed.Reading the other reviews, I get the feeling that some are trying desperately to find something wrong with this deal. As far as I can tell, it is the equal of moto-tools at three times the price. And it comes with a functional flexible shaft, and several attachments – including a workable router base, and a box of sanding-grinding-cutting-drilling bits, and the much-needed set of collets. And also, a nice organized storage pouch to hold everything together.Wen is a terrific company for decent quality inexpensive tools. Check out their 10″ x 40 tooth carbide circular saw blade for $12.36! Amazing – and it works!

Great rotary tool, flexible extender shaft not so muchâ¦
While trying to tightening down the collet/chuck on the end of the flexible shaft, the inner metal shaft itself sheared loose of the housing of the handle, ripping apart parts of the handle, and is no longer useable. Thatâs fine, since I didnât plan on using the flexible shaft much, but it still knocks a star off of the review in my opinionâit broke and is not useable. Otherwise, itâs pretty perfectly comparable to a dremel in size, noise, power and power adjustment, and utility. 9.5/10

Fantastic unit
Fantastic rotary tool. I ordered this after my Dremel died on me and the cost of a comparable replacement was ridiculous. I had heard of WEN in the past when I was looking to buy a new drill press and really only ever heard good things, so I decided to give them a shot. Once in a while I get it right and this was one of those times. This tool is comfortable in the hand, has plenty of adjustable power, fantastic battery life and great bonus features. The added light at the end of the tool is extremely helpful and not overbearing. The unit came with a charge on it and I kept wondering when it was going to stop but it seemed to run for days. Charging was quick and I was buck up and running. The accessory kit provided ample enough attachments to get you going on just about any type of small project. This was my first WEN product but definitely not my last.

Works with the Dremel brand 4486 keyless chuck!!
Oddly enough, the Wen brand keyless chuck 2305-KC does NOT fit this tool (as other reviews have stated).HOWEVER, the Dremel brand 4486 keyless chuck DOES fit this tool perfectly.Once this keyless bit is installed, you can fit just about any size rotary tool bit without issue (since the chuck changes size like a drill chuck depending on how much you tighten it down). An annoying thing about rotary tools is the different attachments/bits often arenât compatible with the different chuck sizes on the rotary tools (there seems to be 2 main sizes, but not much info about which size is which) so Iâve wound up with a drawer full of bits that often donât fit into my rotary tool. But with this adjustable chuck, thatâs no longer an issue for me!Other than the chuck needing to be upgraded, this rotary tool has worked very well for me. A little on the weak side, but good for more delicate work (Iâll use my corded one for tougher jobs). So I recommend this tool, but DEFINITELY consider getting the Dremel 4486 chuck for it.

The WEN 2305 seems to work fine….once you get it working.
I bought this tool to use in making jewelry. The price is so low I thought it would be well suited for a novice like me. Plenty reviews of the WEN 2305 include jargon that could only be used by those with considerable knowledge about (power) tools. Maybe that should have been a tip to the audience to which WEN (and Dremel) seek to sell. Instructions for use are virtually non-existent.I looked for help all over the internet to no avail…until today. THANKFULLY Fire Mountain Gems shares an instruction video. The presenter explains the pieces of the tool and how to assemble and use them. This info should (have) been provided by the manufacturer. Thanks to a jewelry supplies company for picking up the slack!

Works just as good as my dremel did for a fraction of the cost and it came with accessories
I’m becoming a fan of wen products.Lately, I’ve completely lost faith in craftsman because they’re made as cheap as possible and you cant get parts for them any more. After going through 3 craftsman sanders in less then a year (all 3 broke the same way and they don’t sell the part that goes out), I bought a wen sander. It was half the price of craftsman, and 2 years later it’s still going strong. I use my sanders every day. The wen sander is a very good product at a good price. So when my dremel quit I was going to get another but they were $50 for just the dremel. This wen was less then $20 and it came with lots of add-ons.After using it a bit, it works just as good as my dremel did, and I’m sure it will hold up just fine.Great item at a really great price!

Can’t complain, with this you get better than what you pay for. I bought this to see if it could cut off a brass fitting inside a wall. I still have plenty of cutting wheel left. Using cable was great to get at a few old nails to remove. Couldn’t use hammer as wall too delicate. Recommended product.

The machine is a total waste. I bought this rotary tool on the 18th of April â18 and was delivered to me on the 24th of April â18.In one day of use, in which the usage was just to test the product, the below mentioned things have happened.1. In 10 minutes of first time use, the sanding drum mandrel bent out of shape after immense vibrations. The sanding drum ripped apart while sanding a piece of soft wood.2. The flex shaft which i installed as per the manual overheated and the wire melted away.3. The cutting disk broke while in use and flew towards my face. Now i have a battle scar right below my lower lip.4. There is sparking inside the machine.WEN industries should really look into these issues.

For a couple of years now, I have wanted a Dremel tool bit simply could not bring myself to spend the money. Many jobs came and went, where I wished I had one. Quite by chance, I happened upon this rotary tool WITH A FLEX SHAFT and a number of assorted bits for a price that made it hard to say “no”.As soon as it arrived, I started using it. While I will say that a couple of the sanding drums slipped a bit on the end of the shaft under pressure, all in all, I am super impressed. The assortment of bits, the variable speed of the tool and the added value of the flex shaft, made this a fantastic buy. Suddenly I was seeing a ton of jobs that I could benefit using this tool for and now I wonder how I went this long without one of these. Although I can not speak to it’s longevity, I will say that this is an even greater value than I was hoping it would be. This is one of the better “surprises” from my many purchases on Amazon. I will buying a few more of these to take care of a couple of birthdays and possibly a Christmas gift or two. I believe in it that much. Will update review if anything is worthy of reporting over time…
